Who we are
Revchk operates revchk.com and is the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- If you enquire about selling: your name, email, phone, general location and what you described to us.
- If you become a seller: the above plus the address we need to collect from, your payment details for settling, records of items and sales, and any identity check our policy required.
- If you enquire about buying: your name, email, any phone number you gave, your message and any offer you made.
- Automatically: the IP address a form was submitted from, kept to detect abuse.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, run the sale you asked us to run, meet our accounting and tax record-keeping duties, and protect the site from abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who sees it
Revchk staff who need it to do the work. We never publish a seller identity, address, confidential minimum price or our internal notes on a public page. Buyers and sellers are not given each other contact details unless both agree.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become sales are removed once they are of no further use. Transaction records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us and we will action it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner Office.
